EXPERIENCE HOT SPRINGS COVE BY FLOAT PLANE

$375 Per person* (Round-trip)

Skip the boats and fly to Hot Springs Cove in a seaplane!

This destination adventure is like no other.   You will begin your adventure with a 20-minute scenic float plane flight along the rugged coastline and past remote islands from Tofino Harbour to Hot Springs Cove.  Landing at Maquinna Marine Provincial Park, a 1.5 km cedar boardwalk will guide you through an old growth forest to the hot springs.

Hot Springs Cove is made up of a series of natural rock pools perched along the ocean’s edge and fed by a geothermal waterfall.  This is a truly unique way to experience the West Coast during your stay in Tofino.

The Maquinna Marine Provincial Marine Park Hot Spring is located on a major geological fault, an unstable area of the earth’s crust. The ocean water is pulled into the earth to a depth of 5km, heated to more than 100 degrees Celsius, before pressure pushes the water back up the earth’s surface. The heated water is released through fractured rock at a temperature around 50 degrees Celsius. While the temperature of the water pouring from the rock is quite hot, when it becomes mixed with the cold ocean water, the temperature becomes very enjoyable.
